Stairs

Stairs
Carlos Dublanc

Stairs have always captivated me. They are dynamic places that somehow are designed with movement in mind. They interlink different levels where more stationary activities may take place without losing the movement impressed in their shapes. Thinking a building in an analogy to an organism, stairs can be seen as the arteries or veins of the building. The use of attractive contrasts on the lower landings can increase vertigo and speed.
